Best bet is to try g35driver or my350z.. Also hit up surratt (not 100% sure of the username) for a plug and play 5th gen harness.

His name is "Surratt" and you can contact him as far as seeing if he can make a PnP harness for the Maxima......as far as the disk I think you can get that from online. Darren (Surratt) did my UTEC harness and this is what it looked like when he got finished...top quality work HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

His name is Darren. User name SurraTT. http://forums.maxima.org/member.php?u=47926

You can DL everything online. (manuals, etc).

Also, you'll need an interface tuner that can be purchased online for between 20-40$, a wideband to go with it, preferably the TurboXS unit, and a laptop Windows XP w/ Hyper terminal (Windows 7 doesn't support it).

Yeah, been totally lazy. I tried to get a baseline, pre-UTEC/post 3.5" SSSIM dyno Saturday but the damn shops were too busy, so I made the long 100+mile trip for nothing.

I'm going to be in the same town on Wednesday, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed the can accommodate me with an opening.

Then, next week, I'm off to Cabo for a week, so if it doesn't get done before then, I might just skip the pre-tune and get the UTEC hooked up and finally get it tuned.

My timing looked a little low on some of my WOT logging runs Saturday, with upper 20's above 6K.

Headed your way with the PNP harness SurraTT. Sorry for thread jack but looking at a used utec and wanted to get opinions on their reliability with our cars (5.5gen), especially from guys who know their stuff. Been researching all over but have yet to find decent input. Any assistance would be appreciated...thanks in advance.

UTEC- on a budget, wanting fuel tuning, and timing control. possible to have cold misfire issues, and 1984 style program tuning. If your coming from a Air fuel controller then a utec will be nice upgrade.

Haltech- more expensive then utec, but totally worth it, serious interface, has variable cam control, 2 step, and a ton of more stuff. If your coming form a Air fuel controller then a Haltech will be a huge upgrade.

Yeah I can wire it up for you if needed. Once I wire it up it becomes a plug and play system for the 02 03 maxima. very nice

Can't forget the wide-band. Another 300 and some right there. Expensive

Gotta give props to Darren offering us this PnP option, it's the best thing since sliced wheat bread.
