Ever since I removed the shifter trim on my I35 to clean it, the climate control unit has started giving off a nasty squeaky kinda creaking noise all the time. If I push on the upper left corner of the panel near the temperature ****, I can reproduce the squeak. But I didn't even touch the climate control when I removed the shifter trim and now it's driving me nuts. I might remove the unit and see if I can do anything about it.. doesn't help that my suspension is wasted so it creaks constantly even on smooth roads.

Does anyone else have this problem or any other center dash squeaks, and any solutions? It's loud.. like seriously loud. You don't have to be paying attention to notice it!

 

I think the trims have the felt/sponge around the edges to prevent this. Maybe yours rubbed off?
