Interior light sets off factory alarm..>
Has this happened to anyone? I had left the interior light on last night be accident...the light near the sunglass holder. Armed the car and went inside, 15 minutes later my alarm is going off. With the air horns installed, let me tell you that this was LOUD. Anyway I had no one parked near me but then I noticed that my interior light was on so that's why I figure the horn went off. Does this sound reasonable? Is the 2000 factory alarm that smart? Kind of weird and figured that it was worth mentioning.

Couple questions:
- All lights will automatically go off after x minutes? I haven't
noticed
- I don't believe the doors looks but themselves, at least I haven't
experience that
My alarm went off couple times and I don't believe it was the panic button.

My alarm went off a while back. When I got down to my car - my reading light was on.

I had an aftermarket alarm that would detect current in the system if the interior lights were left on. They also had to configure the system for the courtesy lights because it would trip the alarm when arming since they stayed on for a while after exiting. Maybe the stock alarm is detecting current in one of the circuits thus tripping the alarm.

I found out the map light was left on...Don't know why but the map light triggers the alarm.
