Need pre catalytic converter selling advice...

This pre-cat was removed about 7 years ago at 30k miles. It's in great condition and has been sitting in my garage all this time. Does it still have any value? If so, what's the best way to sell it?

Thanks, T

You won't know if it has value until you have a buyer. Look up on Ebay to price compare. Heck, there might have even been a pre-cat on this forum for sale you can compare. Once you determine the potential value post it up in the for sale section under the proper Maxima generation.

if you can't find any local buyer on the org, ebay, or a buyer who is willing to pay for the cat and shipping, you can always bring it to your local scrap yard. Not sure how much you plan on getting for it. If you want top dollars sell it to someone who is willing to buy the cats or exhaust manifold/cats because they want to go back to stock or have a crappy running car that clogged up the original cats. If you don't care what you get for it because you just want to get rid of them, sell them to you local scrap metal yard. I've just brought a set that I had sitting around and was tripping over it all the time from a 6 cylinder car to the scrap yard and got $50 for a pair of tiny precats (cats and attached exhaust manifolds) Platinum and Palladium prices are over a thousand dollar an once and usually alot higher than gold. Any amount of precious metal that can be salvage inside the cats means you get pretty good money from the scrap yard. The only thing is they need to be oem, aftermarket stuff is pretty much useless, and you will get very little for them.
