01 Maxima rubbing noise..

Hey everyone,

Sooo I have another noise coming from the drivers side. A couple weeks ago I had the loud scraping/grinding noise coming from the drivers side. Got the brakes, rotors, and then wheel bearing replaced. That took care of that noise. Now I just started hearing a rubbing noise from the drivers side tire area. Today it got worse where you can hear the noise at any speed and it is louder when turning, left particularly. I took it to get the wheels aligned and balanced today and the shop said they didn't see anything rubbing. I am thinking of bringing it to Nissan again to see what it is. Just though i'd see if anyone has any ideas or advice on this.

Thanks
AJ

Sound clip? Which wheel bearing(s) did you replace?

Did they check it up in the air?? If they did, then it would probably not show up and it could be as simple as the plastic shroud rubbing on the inside of the tire. Possibility anyway. Occam's Razor: The simplest explanation can tend to be the right one.

I changed the drivers side bearing (the same side making noise..). I took the tire off and nothing is rubbing at all. Might it be the wheel hub? The noise has gotten louder over the last couple days.

UPDATE:

Turns out it was the wheel hub and bearing. Just had them replaced this morning and all is back to normal now! Thanks to those who gave their input!
