But sometimes it doesnt work, did that **** plenty times after spacers and no go, just drove for a day and it went back to normal....

I think K&K Auto in Uniondale, LI has one. They specialize in Maxima's and they also do the advanced timing mod so I believe they have the scan tool. Worth calling them.
