Car in fail safe mode

I have an 02 max with 110k on the clock and having some trouble. When I jump on it hard it goes in to fail safe mode. It doesnt really respond to gas and just idles till you can pull over and let it sit for a min then restart with no issues. I have a couple codes vias solenoid problem and a throttle position code. Everytime you get in it hard it just jumps to this mode. What could this be or how do I find out?

I would start with troubleshooting the two codes you have. I'm guessing that TPS code may be causing the problem. However, it's just that without further information. A guess. Do you have a decent DMM and know where to access the FSM? It gives good, detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot a myriad of components.

came in here to post this

sounds like your TPS is sending the incorrect signal to the ECU.

But never assume , grab the FSM and a decent multi meter and test the components in question
