$1000
look in the phonebook under sunroof i think.
we once had one put into a kia sportage for around $300 for the flip-up kind (they had to move our dome light forward a bit - no problem) . the same place also had a fully automatic - slide into the roof liner type that was $1000 on sale (as if it isn't always on sale). typically they will completely garantee the work not to leak or anything...

It depends on where you live...
Here in Detroit, both of the major international manufacturers of sunroofs (ASC and Hebasto) have local installation centers. Although these are designed for dealership-marketed custom conversions, they also serve the general public.
I would be very cautious, however, of having a sunroof installed by anyone else.

I did a lot of research on this. Quality aftermarket sunroofs are definitely worth a consideration. Make sure you get an ASC one. Go to a reputable place. Make sure you visit the place and see what kind of work they do. The one place I checked out does thousands of them per year. They also did convertible conversions. Make sure it comes with a lifetime warranty. The Nissan stock sunroof only comes with a 3 year warranty. I almost bought one for my car for $950 and it had more features than the stock sunroof. (autoclose) My only problem was that it took away some headroom, about 2 inches) so I didn't get it.
i'm short, what do i care
i'm short, so the headroom thing isn't a problem(i'm 5'4", and i'm the tallest in my family
the only thing i didn't think about was the quality, most of you say not to do it, so i'm unsure, if i can be convinced, then i might get it

Re: i'm short, what do i care
I'm nearly 6-3 and I have a long torso. So... different story. I would check out any place in person and see one installed on a Maxima before deciding. I saw one being installed on a brand new Maxima this summer. It looked awesome. All the local Nissan dealers send their cars to this place. http://www.adlermandel.com/

I ve been thinking
about doing this also but I'm not even sure if I'll have the car long enough to make it worth my while.
Friend of mine also has a base SE and had a roof installed by whoever the dealer has do it for them...havent seen him in a while to get their name but it is the place that the dealer sends all cars to.
One thing that I dont like is that the glass lifts out and on top of the roof when open...I don't know why I dont like it ...just dont...still may consider it though....if

Re: I ve been thinking
Yeah the kind with the glass that slides on top of the roof is cheaper, around $750. The one I looked at was the internal type. $950.
