Um.. Sorry to rain in your parade but intakes don't add low end!!!! It's more of a high end mod and you probably lost some power on the low end...

But this is a cold air intake. I think they will add power to the low end verses the hot air intakes like the JWT or Stillen. Am I right?

well when i installed my PRCAI, i noticed that I had more power when taking off from the line. i could stop at a light and spin the tires more after the cai install more than I could stock. just to add my 2 cents ...

It's all in your head... Put the stock airbox back in and you'll feel the difference!!!....

well I beg to differ, but it is not in my head ...

By your logic, intakes only add high end high end power (I and all of us have heard this time after time) and exhausts add low end power (I and all of us have heard this as well). Well how many people have posted and said that their car pulls much harder to redline and above 3k rpms after a y pipe install??? Countless! But by that logic HOW? Some even post and say that the y pipe caused a loss in torque, but how? Because this is not a perfect world.

I say that the logic is nice, but it doesn't always work that way. The intake did make a difference for me in the low end, and it might have for him as well.

Then my CAI must be defective b/c I lost alot of lowend..... Enough that it's noticable over stock!!..... I've checked it thoroughly to see if there was anything wrong but in the end, found nothing..

yes, and a muffler tip adds 50hp on the entire power band.

Hmm out of 2 past maximas and 1 sentra with PR cai that all got low end and power throughout the rpm range, they did not loose any low end.

Everyone here will also agree with me on this.

It's even on the dyno graphs...

maybe its a mental thing. like if you install sways you will go faster on turns and.. peel your tires.

Tell me this then... How are you gaining in the low end when you are freeing up back pressure.. Which is what happens when you install a CAI, y-pipe, RT Cat, catback......
I don't agree with you Russ!!!....
The only lowend you gain is what you lose over the Cone intakes...
Let's see your Dyno!!!!!
Sure you probably gained HPs but can you verify that you gained lowend???

the amount of gain is so insignificant... if it improves your 1/4 mile by say .2, thats up to almost 90mph depending on your 1/4 mile... so factoring in just low end the amount of time is very small.. its hard to tell... some people on her say that with a 50 shot they dont really feel quicker so something as small as an intake, you really dont feel the difference, but its loud as hell so you think you do!

Wait...am I reading that right? Are you saying that with just a CAI you gained 32hp at 5400RPMs?

On your stock dyno you have 150.1hp@5400
On your post-cai dyno you have 182.4@5400 & 178.9@5400

That's 28.8hp and 32.3hp. I'm not going to argue with you, but that would seem to far exceed the generally accepted gains from a CAI. Am I reading these wrong?

What do you guys look for when buying intake/CAI etc? Obviously better high end with no loss at low end, may be even a small gain. Do you want something that sound decent, or something extremely loud?
For me, I am looking at CAI that will give xx extra hp, nice improvement in both high and low end. Noise-wise at WOT or higher rpm I would like an aggressive sound, but also would like something subdued when I am not driving the car hard. For example, something civilized when under 3000rpm. Is that possible?

i got PRCAI because of all the good things i heard about low-end torque plus it sounded good. under 3000 i can hear it but not loud just enough, when i go WOT i really hear it, nice growl havent tried it on high end though, but tomorrow i will
