Hey gents, I picked up an OEM sunroof wind deflector for the 5th gen.

I've posted a pic below....is that all the hardware that comes with the OEM one to install this thing (circled in red)? I haven't looked to install yet, but any general installation instructions or tips to share?

Yep, that's all of the hardware. Those brackets hold on to the body of the car and prevents the deflector from going anywhere. I'll take a picture or two for you tomorrow.

If you value the paint on the roof of the car, I wouldn't install it. After enough time, you will be stuck with permanent damage to the paint where the rubber seal makes contact.

I removed mine since I don't like sunroof air deflectors, and yep, it left damage. Dirt gets in between the rubber seal and the paint, and after 11ish years of it being on the car since it was new it took it's toll. Good thing my car is white, so it's not noticeable unless you're looking down on the roof.

Not sure why you need it. I never had one when I bought the car and the air that comes in is minimal.

Definitely second this. Same thing happened to me, and now I'm stuck looking into an option to cover up the damage cause I can't stand the scratching it caused. Seems bluebatmobile makes a black overlay for the roof though...
