Engine need replacement
Found out my friend has to have her engine replaced on her 2002 Maxima...
She doesn't have the money to spend right now on this engine (was told by her that the mechanics said about a couple thousand). Any suggestions or advice? Thanks for the help. She is located in Bronyx, NY. She has told me that NY takes advantage of women and their cars so...would like any help on this problem. Thanks

Or you could just call around to local junk yards. Any transverse mounted VQ35 will work in her car. I have an engine from a 2007 Quest minivan in my car now. Should be able to locate a good used engine for $1000 or less. Then you just need to find a mechanic to put it in for you.
