Would this work???

Ive been having a hell of a time getting an O2 sensor to splice into the engine harness and not throw a code. Im not sure why it wont work but im trying to figure out alternatives to make the light go away.

Anyway i was thinking something like this picture i drew up might work by using 2 jumper wires to take one sensors readings to both spots on the ECU

What do you guys think?

Also I have a VACF and wideband I plan to install in the next month or 2 so I will be monitoring the A/F and adjusting it as needed from there as well, just trying to get rid of the CEL

In my understanding you cannot do this using a signal from a primary feeding into a secondary because the ecu expects to see a difference in signal to determine the cats are functioning properly.

It makes since you could use a secondary signal to feed a nonfunctional secondary. However, my understanding is that will not work. Why? I don't know. But we all know that you have to use a dual simulator to address two O2's. One sim for two O3's will not work.

Signal degradation? Synchronicity of sweep in signal using one signal for both alerts the ecu? Got me. But knowing this tells me your plan will not work.
Of course your sensors will have to stay connected in order to avoid a heater circuit code.

Also worth mentioning I have gutted pre cats with foulers and the secondaries are fine and dont throw a code

Also one wire above is the signal wire the other is the heater circuit so id be ok on that

I'd still make the same argument. We know you have to run a dual sim to address both O2 codes. I don't see why this would be an exception for the primaries. But, try it and let's see.

Yea im going to give it a shot and see, I saw some guys on an is300 forum that this worked for.
I think it might be easier with primaries then the secondaries since its not looking at the up stream sensor to pass its diagnostic.
Also one less wire lol!

It may be different because the is300s are inline 6 cylinder motors?
I don't know the technicalities of the vq35 but I would assume the front and rear bank have fuel amounts altered based on the o2 values from the respective sensors.

-- Wiring them both to one side would result in an inefficient motor?
