Intake info

Hay guys

Ive decided to go through with doing this last mod before tunning. I'm going with a 3 1/2" intake and maf. Just gotta find some piping for it. Is it worth upgrading my throttle body while doing this I don't really won't too but If it's gonna gain me power and Abit of it I'll do it. Plus last question while doing this mod I was going to do ssim. I've already got the BOP done. I've got a 4sp auto 6th gen done all the bolt ons and was wondering if ssim will be worth it? Does it make up for its bottem end power loss? To end up being a worth while gain and actually being quicker not slower.

Cheers Kurt.

To my knowledge, there's no simple throttle body swap available for our cars due to being fly-by-wire, so I think you might be out of luck on that. I can't speak on the SSIM as I don't have any experience with that, so I'll yield that one to someone else.

Better make sure you have a MAF scaling software/piggyback and a WB to monitor the AFR.

You have a 6th gen or 5th gen?

You're asking questions.

Since you're auto, you will notice the slight loss of torque down low with an SSIM.

If you don't plan on extending your rev limiter then don't bother getting the SSIM...unless your car is a highway queen.

Its a 6TH gen. Can i do this on a standard ecu. Maf scaling is that on the ecu to tune?
