Proud new owner of a 5th gen

Well I got rid of my 4th gen about a month or 2 ago and got a civic. It wasn't cutting it for me (too ricer). I just purchased a 2000 GLE with only 33k miles. Super clean and runs great! Just wanted to say hello and post up some pics. Let me know what you think!

I was considering changing my username and starting fresh with the new 2k Maxi... I ran into the original Mr. Brett on the 4th gen forums since I first registered. I used MrBr3tt as my username for a while for a lot of other usernames on other sites. I feel like an imposter on here though.

You should.

Imposter.

I'm kidding.

This wasn't my original screen name. I changed it...two springs ago? Maybe. Right about before you joined, actually, believe it or not.

EDIT:

Gawd, now that I think about it...I can't believe I've been on this forum over three years.

Hahaha go figure I think I wasn't even on here for a month before I saw one of your posts and thought to myself "You've gotta be kidding me... what are the chances."

Mod suggestions anyone? I'd like to see what options are out there and see how you 5th gens do!

That's exactly what I thought. I went just to take a gander at it and then saw 33k and then REALLY started looking at it. Once I sat in the drivers seat I knew this was the one

Soon to be long gone! It wasn't me. Nothing is more satisfying than a Max. It's everything I want in a car.

Yeah just needs a trans and I think it's leaking oil a little bit. I haven't noticed it lately so it may have just been puddled up somewhere and not actually have a leak.

I'll be selling it next week sometime. Not even worried about getting the best price for it at this point just want it out of my hands.

I like it!

Very nice catch my friend, today it's pretty rare to find a car in that conditions.

Are you planning to do it some mods or are you going to keep it stock?

Also, in my opinion... I don't like a lot the Maximas of this gen without the spoiler, the trunk looks naked. LOL!

Congratulations and good luck!

Thanks I'm more than happy with it! I kinda like the no spoiler thought haha not sure why but it looks a little cleaner. I would definitely like to do some mods later on once I save up some cash aside from the loan payments and insurance. I want to tint and get nice wheels when I need to get new tires. Possibly drop it a bit too.

Thanks I appreciate it!

I'm really digging all this positive feedback. Seems to me like I snagged a better find than I had originally thought.

Yeah, the 5.5 gen has the separate. Bulbs for low and high beam, plus just looks 300% better imo than the single-headlamp of prior gens

I will definitely look into that for sure I did some browsing today and I know what ones you are talking about and I like the low and high being separate as well.

Haha considering it's already a username and the only difference is an 'e' and a '3' I think this new one will be a little less like Mr Brett
