The reason Forza doesn't do night races is because of the legal terms that they had to accept in order to include Ferrari's cars in the game. Ferrari basically forced Microsoft and Turn 10 to accept that their cars couldn't be portrayed at night for some reason or another.
Same goes for inclement weather. BMW didn't like their cars being portrayed in rain/snow/etc. Which is why in the entire history of arcade-style Need For Speed games, we've only seen one BMW (The M3 in Most Wanted and Carbon). The only other NFS games Bimmers show up in are Pro Street and Shift. Both of which, there's only sun and daylight racing.

They apparently finally got the rights, though, because they had a big article on Turn 10's site on how they were finally adding Porsches to the game's car line-up. It happened just this month, in fact. I haven't been on the site to check, though.

I do just fine with the controller for now. But now that Logitech has a steering wheel that comes complete with gas/brake/clutch pedals, AND an optional six speed gearbox or paddle shifters (versus the old-school UP and DOWN-style shifters), I want one. Badly.

I used to have the Microsoft Force-feedback steering wheel for the PC. It brought Need for Speed to a whole new level.
Had a fairly complex Logitech joystick years ago to play Descent with.
Kind of miss those games.

Man, all the hundreds of hours I spent playing Unreal Tournament. You might remember, before UT there was just "Unreal", which wasn't intended for head-2-head gameplay. That was when video card makers were just coming out with dual-card configurations. You could spend $1000's on computer components just to play these games.
The first head-2-head game that really got me into gaming through the phone lines with friends: Duke Nukem 3D.

I do. Very much so. There's no art to the Subaru design. They had to partner up with Toyota to get something worth looking at.
I just don't understand the appeal of the EVO as anything other than a rally car. It's not suited for daily driving, and it looks like an econo-box POS. It actually isn't of course, but that's besides the point... it looks like one.
