Our Cheesecake Factory here does a great job with theirs. The only other place i've had cheesecake just as good or better was Junior's in NYC. If you're ever in NY, it's a must!

Good advice. It's 90+ degrees out right now, and I'm stuffed with lobster... so for the next couple hours, I'm thinking afternoon nap.

My old 1997 Nissan Maxima SE Auto.

Warspeed y-pipe, stock catback exhaust, injen cold air intake, KYB-AGX, Eibach Springs, Full aftermarket stereo system.

I couldn't afford to mod my car too much back then......still was pretty fast though.

My old 1999 Nissan Maxima SE 5MT.

Fully stock. No aftermarket parts what-so-ever. I could afford to mod the car back then... but it was a lease.

Boy, those cars rode high off the wheels, didn't they? Even I can see that.

Whatever you do, do NOT rush the people working on your car. They will get aggrivated at you b!itching at them and half azz some stuff just to collect your money and get you out of their hair. Even more so with your situation because it is all custom work. Custom fabrication takes time to do right no matter how good they may be. Unexpected things come up with this kinda work.

I been coming in about 3 times a week. So they see my face often. I understand what you are saying about rushing people working on the car. After the first week they had all the brakes on and painted, radiator in, etc. Then the car sat there for like a couple weeks....they have had the feeder piping welded in for like 2 weeks now...why cant they just finish mounting it? I was there onetime and my car was on the lift and they had pulled another car in and called the tinting company to tint this Ford Focus....no one was even working on my car.....why couldn't they just had tinted my car that same day?? My car still not tinted....why wait until the last minute? I have been there a few times car sitting outside doing nothing...call the tinting people and have them tint the car while its just sitting. What is going to happen is they are going to call tinting company last minute and its all going to be an excuse like the dude had something else to do and could not come, etc.....get it done...nothing else boing done now. I told them I wanted black mesh grill in the bottom bumper....still have not ordered it...bumper is off and intercooler mounted....put the mesh on...car sitting outside all day. They told me they are waiting for the welder to come in this week and finish welding the piping. Now I told them I wanted the exhaust side piping ceramic coated by Jethot.....they should have all this done and already sent out to NC to Jethot because its going to take them at least a week to ship the exhaust back.....My tune is July 2nd. I told them this and they told me I can go get tune and then bring it back and they will send exhaust off to get coated.....cmon man. But then the Big maxima meet in NYC is July 7th. I will not have time to bring the dam car back and then them ship off exhaust to get coated.....meet is 5 days later it will not be ready. They do great work....just slow as HELL!!!! Car been there since May 9th.......cmon. Its not a full engine build.

Can anyone tell me what the heck this is? I been looking at the FSM and I cant find anything on this part...what is this for? I want to replace the nasty azz rusted bracket with a new powdercoated one, depending on how much work, that retangular piece, if its not fluids in there ot any kind of pressure that would be difficult to change.

Clutch fluid bleeder valve, AFAIK.

The bracket comes off real easy, with just the one bolt. Take the piece and grind it smooth with a wire wheel, then paint it and re-install. Buy new SS or Ti-bolts and you're done. The rectangular piece is screwed into the line, but to remove it means clutch fluid all over the place. Instead, just polish it clean with some metal polish.

OAN, why are you using fender washers as hole plugs? That's what hole plugs are for. In particular, the one that's on that welded bracket for the OEM intake apparatus... that looks dumb, ranmas. Sorry, just does.

I feel for you. Had a similar situation when I was in my 20's and the first build on my Trans Am. Sometimes you might be working with a shop that's skilled, and fair and trustworthy... but totally unprofessional when it comes to schedules and expectations. Unfortunately, shops like that don't last.

Whatever the reasons, you're in the middle of it and you have no choice but to ride it out. All I can say is try to find something to keep you busy in the meantime, so you don't think about it so much.

Thanks you as well, ROC. I remember when you got on me about those washers in the fenders, I remember I jsut have not gotten around to removing them that is all. I'll get them out of there. Thanks for the advice...whenever they finish my car I can clean some of that stuff up......I'm not going to ask them to do it because it might be an additional 2 weeks....LOL.

Yeh, they a smaller shop. If they mess around and get REAL busy...they going to dissapoint alot of folks. They only have ONE real full time mechanic....other people part time here and there. That is why they have to call in Tint company a welder, etc. They working on Turboing this Supra too...that thing has been there ever since LAST YEAR from what I can remember....engine was sent off to machine shop and its finally back and in and now they wiring it up.....AND they putting a fuel cell in this Mustang and adding intercooler to it...thing runs 9 sec 1.4 mile......they got at least 3 projects going and ONE mechanic......I feel sorry for PJ...LOL.

Hey Roc what size are those bolts for the clutch bleeder valve? Looks like there are 2 of them. Are those M6, M8?? 15mm? Also do I need to know the pitch as well? Also what brand of metal polish you use?
