Only thing that bugs me is when people say their fake crap is just as good as the real stuff.

truthfully i think Chris gets both sides of the coin, but you are stuck on, real wheels or you are worthless to society for buying knock offs

tell you what, though, buy me some CCW wheels so i wont go buy teh XXR knockoffs that just came out for my integra. i'll leave them in the house and rock my OE wheels for DD and put the CCWs on for shows

Knock offs= i buy because i like the design of company xxx but can not justify the cost of that product at this time so i will just get what i want in a simular design and call it a day
Real Wheels= i waited and purchased these because of my research and brand reputation and desired look(status) that i will recieve upon mounting these to my finely tuned and modified car

It does not bother me either but these individuals think I care where they spend their money. I could care less if they spent it on drugs, hookers, fake wheels, or other crap in this world. The point that I was making is why I do not spend my hard earned cash on fake crap and why I do not support thieves.

But people like that are annoying to me too lol Not even the best of reps will look as good as the real deal. Sometimes close but definitely not as good. And I'm talking purely on the wheel itself, not how it'll look on the car. That's a different story.
CJ, I'm not making them from scratch, I'm taking the Atlima V6 headers and working from those, I will be making a Hotshot style of collector for each bank, then extend the merge section back another 6" to delete the cat and begin the 3" ID section sooner, to a sort of "dummy" cat acting as a heatsink before I start my aluminum catback.
Again, the type of stuff no1 would notice unless I owned a Civic or something, most people would go... "Hrmm... It is just a Maxima you know?" I usually reply to G/Z D-baggery with... Yeah you're right, your cars do have a mini-van engine in them, guess we're all silly ... The looks on their faces #priceless.

lol after reading that post...i'll just say this..there's Sooner, then there's Shift_Max, in that order. i mean no one in here has said that xxrs, varrosteons, rotas, etc are better than the originally made wheels, so where does his argument become validated? NO WHERE! we've all stated that the original wheels that were made and that the knock off companies copied in design, are better than the knock offs. all we are saying is we have reasons for not buying the authentic wheels, be whatever it may. but he's swearing up and down we are calling volks, ssr, bbs, etc the same as these knock off companies

ok this wheel subject here is my personal experience.i like this one style of wheel it is the vs-xx now xxr makes a simular wheel that everyone buys but here is how i am looing at it yes i can get either wheel but the vs-xx wheel is exactly what i want size,lip,offset,color and DETAIL when i look at the xxr version i do not see the same aspect as the vs-xx its a small difference but it is still one i dont want to accept why is this only because I SAY i dont like the minor difference its a petty thing but this is how we all differ in our selections and yes the vs-xx are knockoffs of the BBS wheel which i can not justify $2200 each for in the same style so i had to compermise.

You know, there's an argumentative trick known as a Straw Man, where you bring up a seemingly related topic and then knock it down. The intention is that the original topic falls with it. It's very effective. I do it sometimes, too. We all do it, to some degree, because human nature.
