I have no idea. I never took the SAT and I pay out of pocket for all my education. No scholarships for people like me. No grants either.

I guess it would depend on the school.

I completely agree with this. That is how I felt. That's why I asked if you had a solution manual so I could see a screen shot of it. I assumed they were asking for the roots. See, I was initially wrong too. That's what I was trying to tell you, but you had to be drama and characterize me as doing something contrary.

I was talking in general terms, if you got in the 1300s and 3.3 money would be thrown your way some how.

That would be cool if it's like that now. It wasn't like that in the 90's... I scored a 1360 on my SAT and maintained a 3.85 GPA in full IB classes and applied for tons of scholarships and got 1 for 800 bucks...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! almost everybody had it mixed up at 1st, i most certainly didnt know HTF to go about it when i saw it, others here made it seem so simple and standard and i believe chocolatestraw or galactica almost recognised the equation from get go, but he only left out 1 extra part of breaking the equation but i gave him credit for partially being right just for getting that far and just about solving it vs just flying in his face sayin "YOUR WRONG!" bryan was also wrong with his guess but that was also a valid attempt to a question where it wasnt specified on what to do... again i didnt just say "YOUR WRONG!"... i actually found out what was this poorly designed question (IMO) was trying to ask... saying YOUR WRONG doesnt correct an error, i then took the time to explain he equation to bryan (besides the typo)... and it was a resfresher in itself for him as its something he knew but forgot... if i had just said "YOUR WRONG" that wouldnt have made anything more correct... all im saying

I never said, "you're wrong." However, I will now. You are wrong. It is not 2x^2+4x-20. CS had it right if you only needed to factor.

BTW, that's not college algebra. That is remediary algebra. Now, that is being a d1ck.

I can't read this. Too many ellipses. No paragraphs, no sense.

But it seems like you can't let this math thing alone. Arguing with nelledge is like yelling at a dandelion for being a pretty weed.

and thats cool whatever you want to call it... i call it math, i only said college algebra because thats what the people who are testing me call it....

again thats fine if im wrong... if being wrong is write in the testers eye then by all means i will settle for being wrong my friend... seeing as though there was no answer listed the wat you have it im gonna assume you guys were wrong.... life goes on bro... cant always be right... ill try my hardest to be "wrong" if thats what gets me the better grade

if a school asked y=2 n to solve why and they have an equation oh how they get there and thats 3-1=2 and 1+1 is incorrect then by all means, for that equation 1+1 is incorrect... **** it... so to nelledge you can be as politically right to the world as you wanna be but in this case, you and whoever else came to that conclusion is wrong

Sometimes there's enough for people here to clique in the context of the medium. Real life? Meh, who knows. You strike me as one of those people who become increasingly and frustratingly more calm the more you yell at them.

I like those people.

Cool, thanks. I'd appreciate that. I'm not saying the method was wrong. I'm saying the solution is. Want a helpful site to check your answers for the future? It's awesome!
