Here's the same pic, lights off.
Next visual mod: Midnight Grille, where the center of the grille is painted gloss black, leaving the perimeter and Mt. Fuji in chrome.

I still need to finish my idea of having LED DRLED for the fogs.
Thanks, Matt. Yes, it was a good deal of work. Like anything, it gets easier with experience. However, the driver's side is really tough, because the washer fluid reservoir is totally in the way. Ditto for the horn. Kind of frustrating.

I like it, but did it affect the output though?
I wouldn't tint mine just because I dont want a constant amber on a red car, but yours is white you can get away w/ it...... Oh wait a minute........
Yeah man... 3 years ago? LOL
Yes. Oracle Tint, in Amber (Orange). I bought it years ago for the Max, but it never worked out. Found it the other day and thought... hmm, I've got a white car now.
Being an overlay, a tint, the light output will have to suffer I'm sure. But I don't use the fogs. Even on the Maxima, the fogs were always on for decoration, not for illumination.
You know, I have zero idea how well this will last, if at all. Or if I'm going to be still liking it in a few months. But today, I'm grinning.

Finally you finished what you started a long time ago

Only 103???
Soooo what did you do? Tint?

I absolutely love the lights off picture. Love. ( Still ignoring the plate though, because it's clashing hard )
The lights on picture, nope, dont like it. BUT it looks like in the picture, that the marker lights in your headlights aren't an orange/amber lens, but rather just a tinted bulb?
If so, that means you can replace those with a non-tinted bulb and fix the visual mal-appeal with the lights on. Becuase 4 round amber lights in the front looks silly.
But 2, in the fog location, looks great.
Clean job! I've been trying to form an opinion on it, but just couldn't. Based on your first photo, I couldn't tell if I liked it or not. It definitely looks novel. I think this photo with the 'before' sig pic helped me to determine that I don't care for it so much. When the lights are off, the amber doesn't fade away like the parking lights. It's as if the light is still assaulting your eyes with amber rays when it should be sleeping quietly in its corner until called for duty.
I do realize everyone has their own style, though. Keep rocking it if you really like it. It doesn't detract from the car enough to do otherwise.

For now, it's a keeper. Down the road, I might remove the tint and go with a whiter light bulb. Or who knows what?
Yesterday it was......Cops pulled me over for Tint in the front and No license Plate in the front....and my license expired....****.....

That fine must have added up... Tint, no front plate, expired license...
Well Im going to slap on the license plate with zip ties, get it signed off by a officer and take it back off, tint take it off and get that signed off also...Fix a Tickets should be 50-60 tops and the DL should get that dropped by the Judge, they are pretty Nice on the No License type thing out here, as long as you have one before your court date, they will usually drop all those.

... still a smiley at the end lol... im glad MD isnt the only state that you had to have a front plate on... i was starting to get pissed how its so O.k in every other state lol
Hey N8. Remember me?
Just picked up a FOUR THOUSAND PSI pressure washer, Any idea how powerful this sucker is going to be? I'd rather not destroy things.... The goal is to clean them rapidly.
whew, busy busy today.
Ended up not finishing today on the max the Outback was worse than I thought, so I was good husband and finished her car first.
Wash
Dry
Ultimate Compound
Scratch-X
Polish
Wax
DONE
That Scratch-X stuff is pretty sweet...
Before:
After:
Scratches are very deep, and still there, but not nearly as visible.
Finished product:
The only things I have to do to the max are polish and wax...going to do those tomorrow. I managed to wash/dry/claybar entire car. Also removed my splash guards and spray-painted them BT4 body color.

^^^ Good job. When scratches go past the clearcoat into the paint they can be tough to buff out. Depending on how deep they are, they might not come out, but as what you did, you can minimize it.
thanks.
Just remembered, the outback needs a new battery too...when it starts up it bogs down immensely, twice as long between start attempts...Sara keeping the damned headlights on all the time doesn't help anyhow, but she ain't changing. Good thing these things kill the lights when the ignition is off, no matter what setting the lights are set to.

Yeah he said he could impound the car but he wasn't, but my pops had to come and drive my car to my house, since my girl was out if town at the moment...the Max looks so much better without the license plate....Cop was just profiling on the way the ride looks......
