If I hear one more thing about Penn State today I will put my head through a wall. One of the few things I don't like about living in this area. The cult-like brainwashed following of that school is ludicrous.

Hey, Amerikaner83... have you ever met Gappy the Frog?
No particular reason. Just thought you two might know each other.

With all due humility, that's actually a reasonable benchmark. Originally Posted by phatboislim

Now that I look back at pics of my old 1999 SE 5MT, I have to admit there's a glaring sense of imbalance going on between the wheels and the body of the car.
But damn... that was still a pretty car.

i thought you were launching at the track for a second

Although, I do actually lower the car, everytime I get in and have a fat chick party.

Yeppers. Family guy cut with Bill Clinton judging a fat chick "cankle contest", followed by 4 fat chicks in the back of his limo. Couldn't find a pic of that though Originally Posted by Rochester

Cj, have you owned or fired a Glock?

ok guns. Good.
I'm thinking of getting something for family and self-defense. Coworker swears by a "home defense shotgun"...18" barrel with pistol grip. I'm thinking something simple like a 9mm or .380 handgun...thoughts?

I was researching and looking for an affordable 10mm, and looks like Glock has the best deal on a new one, model 20 and 29 with the 29 being a compact model. Originally Posted by cjandura

What's your overall opinion on the Glocks? I've never shot one. I'm mostly a 1911 frame fan when it comes to the auto pistols, but the 1911's offered in 10mm are at least a grand or more and I don't want to spend that much, unless I get lucky and find a used one. Kimber makes a really nice one, but the m.s.r.p. on one of those is over $1,300.

Shotguns work good for home defense because they also double as a skull smasher. 9mm and .380's are good, but a .380 is less powerful than the 9.Originally Posted by Amerikaner83

True, but if I end up in the future going conceal carry, the smaller 380 would be easier to handle around and conceal, no?

You can get other guns that are compact to carry, not just the .380. You can get a 9 or even a .40 in compact. Also, Smith & Wesson sells a compact hammerless revolver that's ideal for concealed carry. Originally Posted by Amerikaner83

KSG
The KSG (Kel-Tec Shotgun) is Kel-Tec CNC’s first entry into the shotgun market. The size, shape, and design is similar to the currently available Kel-Tec RFB rifle, but the KSG ejects downward, instead of forward. The KSG weighs 6.9 lbs. and is as compact as legally possible with a 26.1” overall length and an 18.5” cylinder bore barrel. Even with this compact size, the internal dual tube magazines hold an impressive 12 rounds of 12 gauge 3” rounds in total (6 per tube). It can also reliably shoot shells as short as 1 3/4" up to the 3".

glock is a little wild to fire slightly uncontrolable under high stress fire situations.NO where near match grade shooting expect 3" groupings at 50yrdsOriginally Posted by T_Behr904

stopping power vs. comfort and capacity
