Integrated graphics on a computer? Ick...
You know, I've always been into cars. But there was a time where computer parts and software was a far more engaging (and expensive) hobby. There was a point where everything I had was SCSI... even an old ZIP drive. Processors were bought so that I could overclock, and I was researching the begeezus out of things like CPU fans and heatsinks.
But I'm back into cars now, where the computer is just a tool. My head is on straight again.

XPS 8500. The card is the NVIDIA GForce GT 640 with 1GB of GDDR5. I assume it's an add-on card, but don't really care too much these days. Not like it was long ago, when I was spending $400+ on video cards. This time the priority is stability, processor and RAM, to be as future-proof as possible and allow me to work from home.

Last month of consistently driving my Maxima. Not getting rid of it, but after this it's essentially going into storage in the garage. The mileage probably won't even change from this time next month until mid-December.

Big improvement over the Dinosaur I've been running for the past 10yrs. Athlon XP 2400+ on ABit-KR7A/RAID w/3GB & GeForce5900Fx. There's Smartphones w/more power than this rig. Since car mods are on hold until I get the rust issues resolved, I indulged. Plus it still cost less than a comparable Mac.
When my new box shows up, I'll probably cannibalize the RAM into her box, along with one of the faster drives. Or maybe the entire MB, except that's so much work... and like I said, I don't care for the hobby anymore.
I used to have a strong fondness for ABIT mainboards.
OMJ..... Last weekend...... I am clearly getting old, I can't do two nights of drinking like I used to, makes me wonder how in the hell did I do 4x nights in a row and then goto A.M. workouts and school all day..........
But last weekend was fun, and now Maxus
