Understood... Hood scoops are functional helps keeps the engine cool, but not to get confused it does not flow straight into the intake.

Those REALLY help. I dont think alot of people that own Maximas that are ALL MOTOR understand how FREAKING HOT it gets under the dam hood after a turbo. MY GOD!!! If you are sitting for a while that thing is HOT inside from the exhaust piping being there and all that.....So that hood scoop AT LEAST helps to get some air into the engine...especially when driving. I was actually considering getting that invader hood myself for the very same reason....gets SUPER hot under there and would be nice to let some fresh air get in there instead of going to the top of the hood and just sitting there.

This is the hood I am considering.....

Yes, Carbon fiber. You know I have that engine cover with the letters and nissan symbol on it. Its on with 3M tape REAL good. One time it got so hot I opened the hood and the Nissan symbol started sliding off the engine cover...the tape had totally melted from the heat inside the engine.....So now I just took the engine cover off and only put it on when I go to car shows. It gets VERY hot under there, even though I have a turbo blanket and the exhaust wrapped AND heat coated...probably can cook eggs on the hood.

Yes, if the regular hood fits Im sure that one will. The piping doesnt come up higher that the engine does. Im sure it will fit. The only thing I was worried about was when it rains the water going into the vents. I dont know how that will affect the engine with that hood? Will it just run on top of the radiator and to the ground? Dont know anyone that had this hood on the forums to ask about it. This is the only thing that is keeping me from buying the hood actually.

1swtmax is driving a CTS-V now?

I remember his FS thread when everybody was saying there was no way he'd get his asking for that maxima, then he sold it at his price in like a week. Or something like that. It was funny... lots of egg-on-face to go around. Me too, I think, whether I said so or kept it to myself.

Perkman went and bought a V too, IIRC
