*Formerly known as "Ezell's"...the owner Ezell got pushed out by the managing partners in 2010, who successfully managed to keep the Ezell's name on the company, so Ezell opened some more stores with the name "Heaven Sent". Same recipe, same chicken, new name. Oprah Winfrey's fav, apparently. And it's pretty damned good.

The legal battle over Oprah's favorite fried chicken is over, but Ezell can no longer use his name to sell his famous chicken.
But don't worry, the food coming out of the deep fryer at his Lake City store, now called "Heaven Sent," tastes the same.
"The same guy that cooked Oprah's chicken is still cooking the chicken. The same guy that made the spices and seasoned the chicken is still making the chicken. So the recipes didn't change, only the name," said Ezell Stephens.
Stephens started chicken chain in 1984 with his ex-wife and former brother-in-law.
It's been a long battle for Stephens, who was fired and sued from the corporation he was part owner of, over allegations of breach of contract and misusing his own recipes.
The case was settled out of court, but as part of the agreement, his ex-partners get the rights to his name. Stephens is not worried.
"It doesn't matter what you call it. If I'm making it, it's always going to be me. I'm Ezell." Plans for a third Heaven Sent chicken store in Renton is already in the works for next month. Eventually Stephens hopes to expand to his home state of Texas.
