manual stopped in 07 or 08 i think.... since the 6th gens.... i really would like to see the sales of the maxima over the years... winning awards n bragging about these random stupid awards doesnt make the car an more fun... sadly the current maximas are as boring as they come, kudos to the few trying to save them
Although the 6.5 gen CVT really, really sucked.
edit... isnt that what i said though... there was no manual starting in 07 or 08???
That's an odd question to me, that you wouldn't know that.
There are dozens of threads that talk this issue to death and back again over in the 7th gen forum. And while everyone's opinion is personally valid, the only one that matters is Nissan Sales & Marketing, which decided putting a MT in the Maxima was no longer directly profitable, or even indirectly valuable.
There were plans in '07 and '08 for a next-Gen Maxima that had a 6MT matched to a diesel engine. But then gas prices in 2008, and the recession, and the near crash of the US Auto market... those plans were scrapped.
Too bad, too. A high-torque diesel would have been interesting.

It's from the hole where they are absolutely terrible.
EG. @ the track 15.5 (or something high like that) @ like 94 was the best he could get, on ANY type of roll we were dead even until his TB started to restrict him (around 90-100ish).
But when we did a dig run, I put buses on him.
i was off by 1 year lol... really.... to be quite honest, i stop caring much about maximas after 2003.... i actually dont like any maximas after that... its one of those info im sure i heard over 1000 times but due to not even caring it went in one ear n out the other
not really the last maxima i looked at were the 03/04 back in 04 i did not like the 04 boatish body style so i picked up the leftover 03 which at the time had about 50 miles on it.i was happy with this purchase back then what really killed me was that awful long sun roof in the 04 and the over thought ugly dash.such a shame what they did that year to the maxima.
As much as I love my G, if the 7th gen had AWD and a 6MT, I'd be driving one. It certainly can't measure up to the performance of what I'm driving now, but it's much more luxurious, and far more comfortable. And frankly, I like the styling.

the only other Nissan car Ive become accustomed to is my 09 i don't really like the dash and it has seen more tsb and recalls then the maxima and 02 pathfinder.my first recall on that car was for some transmission related issue in which took them 6 weeks to replace the unit then the ecu recall, rear differential cooling line, suspension adjustment solenoid, rear body attachment clip, and door panel pull handle recalls.

6MT-CVT.... doesnt sound like a car that should spark my interest sorry...
even when i wanted the newer 3.5 i was going with the altima vs maxima... i just dont get how its sooooooo not profitable to do manual transmissions anymore yet the altimas still had em.... who really released thee info and where did they really get the from?... im not buying it... not even from nissan lol
I give Nissan props for trying something new with that 6.0 gen sunroof, even though it was rather strange. We could bash the 6th gen to heck and back easily enough. But honestly, for all its stylistic shortcomings, the 6.0 Gen 6MT Maxima was a fine automobile.

And I think a AWD 7th gen would give the G the business on the track.
You fail to realise, even though you have flat TQ... the 7th gen has no shifting

(AWD + CVT has it been done?)
Ahhh Nissan you bastard have already done it... Murano and Juke....
Because they're not ghustlers.

im sure there is a trillion threads about it.... dont mean i see it... no good reason for me to even know what engine is in the 7th gen.... i really just dont care that much... other than the outter looks of the car, i have no interest in knowing anything about the car.... seriously... i guess nissan sales n market is all that really matter, so is my thoughts on the car

WTF? Sometimes I think you're not even a real person.
Well outside of our extremely small community, the general population's favorite maxima IS the 6th gen, actually people like the 6.5 gen ever better.

... yea right... i like the 7th gens i do... but i could never consider one unless its being sold for a price in which i can buy it and my trade in value would be more lol
So an update on that 330i ZHP BMW I was looking at. I ran the carfax and it came back clean. Talked to the buyer and gave him a reasonable offer for the car. He told me he had a couple local people that were going to look at it. Well later that evening he got back to me and said the car was sold for $14.5k in cash.
It was a nice clean car but I was not willing to pay that much for it. Time to look for another one.

$14.5 seems very high, but if that's the going price for that car... more power to the seller, I suppose. Good for him.
lol... thats not really that hard to achieve lol

Or "llab" in correct ghustling terms.
Woah woah woah... Completely different markets here, can't compare a Z car to the Maxima.
Speaking of the 350/370z cars which i caint tell the difference of every morning i goto wawa for coffee and this older woman mid 50's pulls up in this really nice red 350z/370z that has Nismo badging on it and those wheels that Hustle has/had.it sounds really nice and its a MT she showed me inside of it when i was parked next to her and she asked me what kind of nissan my car was
that is high........... he probebly decided to keep it lol but too much a bish to say it lol.................. i know vas likes smaller cars n all why not look into the 370Z for those prices???
The family and I have been watching Top Gear on NetFlix from the beginning, one after another. In one of the episodes from 2003 (or 2004), Clarkson trashed the 350Z. It was entertaining, but kind of sad, too.
It's funny how my wife and kids are into watching Top Gear with me.
