Just a simple question about my climate control...
I have a 02 max and I know that there are two types of climate control units. There is the one without the screen(the one i have) and it has the slider to change from cold to hot.
Then there is the one with the screen and it has the **** to change from cold to hot.
Like this:
I was wondering if this is compatible with my car?
The wiring looks exactly the same but I know some things cant be that easy lol
I would like to know before i bought this and its not going to work then im stuck with something that i cant even use...
Any advice or information will be most appreciated, thanks!

You have the basic, manual climate controls. You are wanting to put in the auto climate controls. Realistically you can't. You would have to change the wire harness under the dash for starters. There are 3 temperature sensors and 1 sunlight sensor you would have to add and swap put the blower motor resistor for a fan motor amplifier unit.

Whats the point of wanting to put the auto climate control thats pictured? I have the manual one like you do and it works perfect and i actually just bought the blower motor resistor which goes bad all the time on our cars and it was $60 because i have the manual climate control. The price for the auto climate control blower motor resistor was $180 (3 times as much). Theres nothing better or more convenient about the auto climate control you're still pushing buttons just like the manual one.

I have the Auto unit and i really wish i had the manual one, u cant use the heater and close the vents at the same time, if u do the air conditioner comes on, so u either have heat and smell all the old cars black exhaust or u just drive freezing inside the car and not smell that old bus in front of you, horrible system trust me

Auto climate control is awesome. You have a neutral setting for almost all temps and you just leave it alone, it adjusts by itself. No turning the heat up/down, fan up/down constantly to adjust because all of a sudden it's too hot, or it's too cold, then you realize that the setting you just adjusted to isn't just right and you have to readjust. Then you change speeds and you have to change it again.
Manual climate control is a HUGE PITA. Once you go Auto, you will dispise the manual one, trust me. If my maxima didn't have it, well, I wouldn't have bought it. AND if for some reason I DID, I'd be swapping to Auto regardless of work involved.

The guy you mentioned in your thread, he is never online. It is hard for me to get in touch with him.

I bought 4 of them already, the cool white or something like that.
I just dont like that dull color light coming from my climate control unit. Some of the buttons on there dont even light up...

They might be but I highly doubt it.
Read thru the threads.
I did my climate control...also manual like yours, with white background (4 leds) and blue indicators instead of the factory green (8 more LEDs), I used two different types...one type for the backlighting and one for the indicators.
If you don't feel comfortable soldering then hope there's a plug and play version for you, cuz I soldered mine in to get full 360* illumination from my backlighting.
Like I said earlier, read through those threads...they contain the answers to every question you've asked so far, mmmkay?

You will want 360 degree LED's from Superbright LED's. BUt you'll have to solder and install these yourself, it's custom but not too complicated.
Alternatively, you can contact Shinjiduo, he will make them for you and send them to you. His prices are very reasonable and he does very very good work.
