cat back with magnaflow?

I have a 2002 se Nissan maxima, I'm thinking about getting catback exhaust with a magnaflow muffler for 400-500$. anyone have this done? is that a reasonable price?

Cat back with muffler installed crush bent, it's very steep. I paid half that for my set-up a loooong time ago, that included a MF muffler.

Also, you may want to check out other muffler options unless you're dead set on magnaflow. They're overpriced and overrated IMO. They sound great at WOT but anything in between is drone city.

Exactly, if you're paying upwards of 500$ for one, you can get a mandrel bent system made for your car.

Unless you have headers, this and any system will be quiet as a mouse. I had a straight through Magnaflow muffler, no resonators, and you could barely tell there was any difference from stock.

After headers, that was a different story.

Does this do the same thing as the cattman or any of the other higher dollar catback exhaust systems?

As in remove exhaust gasses with some added bling, sure.

Top item looks like a Greddy for some reason.

No I mean. Will this provided any real performance upgrade. Increase the flow of exhaust allowing the engine to breath better.

Yes it will help just as much as a 2.5" cattman minus the workmanship. Don't expect anything drastic though.

If you're looking for a real performance upgrade and are willing to spend 400-500$, why not get headers?

BRM makes exhausts with magnaflow components and it sounds like it's in your price range...you can get the 3" mandrel bent for 535 shipped. Not a bad price at all.

Hey I got the magnaflow muffler as shown above. I love it! I had a watermellon launcher before like gredy but it looked dumb to me and was scraping (to low). So I built my own exhaust and slapped a mag on.it I also used of for half sound and half appeance on the outside I like the dual 3" chrome tips
