Cracked GPS screen
Cracked GPS screen
I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE with the nav package. Recently some **** broke into my car and tried to yank out the screen but didnt quite get it. Now it no longer clicks into place and the screen is cracked. The images still show up fine but the outter screen (the one that responds to touch) is cracked and doesnt register screen presses at all. Do I have to replace the entire nav unit or is there some way to replace just the damaged/cracked screen? And where would I get one if I have to replace the whole thing? Local shops here seem useless and I'm scared to bring it to the dealership...
Also, on a side note, I have the factory provided 6-disc CD changer in the trunk. Is there any way to disconnect the cd changer and hook up some kind of mp3 player? Or any blutooth mod that can be done to stream from my phone? Its my only gripe about the car!
Any help on either subject would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Adam

there is a harness out there that you can use to integrate an ipod through the cd changer input on the back of the radio. i think crutchfield sells it. my best guess with your cracked screen is the entire unit needs to be replaced and there's nowhere besides the dealer that's gonna get that done for you.
