Replaced IACV and ECM is fine "2000" I30

Yesterday morning while on my way to work my '00 I30 stalls while sitting at the light. The only way to keep it running was to have my foot on the gas and brake at the same time. Funny thing no SES light came on what so ever. After getting it to my job one of the maintenance guys who's good with cars came to take a look. While he was checking it out the SES light came on and the car idled fine with no stalling. When we tried it again, it stalled and the only way to keep it running was to stay on the gas pedal. He read the code and the dreaded PO505 code was coming up.

To make a long story short, I had the IACV replaced. Don't think my ECM was fried as the car has been running fine since I picked it up today after shelling out $465 which included a tire balance/rotation. I will keep every posted if there is a change, which I HOPE there isn't. The car has 157k on it and really haven't had any major problems with it in the 6 yrs of owning it other than tires, brakes, rotors, radiator, and cat/muffler. Just need this thing to last me one more yr before I replace it with something newer. lol...

Wow, you paid a lot but other than that it looks like you got lucky. IACV malfunction tends to wreak havoc. Glad you got it sorted out so smoothly & keep us posted.
