Where Does This Vacuum Line Go?

Here is my dilemma, swapped a 2001 I30 Vq into my 2000 Maxima (engine threw a rod).
I can not seem to find where this one vacuum hose should go. If you are facing the front of the car looking at your oil filler cap, look right behind it and below it. It seems to be attached to a valve of some sort which looks to be attached to the lower intake manifold. Mine is but and do not see where it should go from that valve. Yes I searched and tried to find vacuum diagrams with no luck. Thanks org

Sounds like you are describing one of the vaccum hoses that is part of the VIAS system. Pic is below as well as the link to the thread describing it function and what can be safely removed and what is required to stay connected so you don't throw any engine codes ... Your engine is no doubt layed out a little different as it is a 3.0lt i30 and the pic below is of a 3.5lt Max but the principal would be the same.

That's for the lower butterfly valves. 2000 models dont have this unless you're cali spec. If you still have your original lower intake manifold, swap this over to this motor and you wont have a problem. The 2001 upper also has that reddish/brown connector next to the black connector on the VIAS section of the upper intake manifold. Your factory 2000 manifold doesn't. Swap those over also if you prefer.

Awesome thank you all so much. I wonder if that is why my idle has been all jacked up esp at cold start. Well when I get more time I guess I will rip this apart and swap the original ones back in AGH...LOL...MIGHT as well do the gaskets while I'm in there lol...Upper and lower. Yay! Thanks again all!
