Air intake

As you can see from the pic here I am missing a hose, does anybody know what I can replace it with (part number) and a price maybe ? I was talking to somebody from a Nissan shop and they said itd be like $50 but I am not sure if they knew what I was talking about

http://claytonnewmexico.net/airbox.jpg

Now when I put it my new starter motor I noticed the airbox itself is cracked where it mounts on one of hte sides, right around the screw so in time its probably just going to fall apart so I need to looking at replacing that. I have seen them for $60 used (shipped) and $100+ new it looks like plus shipping. So say that with the hose if the dude is right would be around $150.

Would I be better off getting an after market one like these below or something different or just replace the stock ?

Whats the advantage (HP and Fuel etc) and disadvantage of below.

I am pretty much a noob as youve seen from me other posts but I am open to be schooled and dont mind getting dirty to fix things.

Not a hose it's a duct.

It is 16577.

I would stick with the original airbox, depending on what your plans are.

So this is it ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170797367133&fits=Year %3A2000|Make%3ANissan|Model%3AMaxima&_trksid=p2045 653.m1253

So it looks like $80 to $100 for a used one and the same for the airbox itself since its cracking.

Thats only about $50 more for a "performance" air intake like posted above. Is it worth it for $50 ? $50 isnt a huge amount of difference when all is said and done. Specially since the replacement stuff looks like its used mostly for them prices.

CourtesyParts.com sells that part for $71 and you know it's a new part. Or check on car-part.com for a used part, you might get just that duct alone for cheap.

I believe I have a spare lying around that I could sell you. Let me make sure I've got it before I say that I do for sure, but make me an offer, and we can probably figure something out. Let me know.
