Are you looking for something to look sporty? drive sporty? Or you just looking for a best-bang-for-your-buck, dependable replacement? A worthwile recommendation will depend on what you want out of them.

FYI, 245 45 17 is not the factory size so your replacements may rub. Just FYI.

I'm running 245/45/18"s on 18X8.5" wheels and I didn't have any rubbing issues at stock height. After lowering, rubbing issue fixed by shaving plastic tab where bumper joins sheetmetal in rear portion inside rear fender lip (I shaved the plastic & bent the metal tab). No more rubbing. As such, I doubt you'll rub on 17's.

I recently picked up a new set of Kumho Ecsta 4X from Tirerack. They were very affordable in 235/45/17, and I am very impressed with the performance so far, especially in this wet NJ May.

I had just grabbed Yokohama all seasons after having Falkens. I thought the Falkens were good but the difference is night and day.

Just to put my $0.02 in - I'm running Hankook Ventus V4ES. They're a decent mid-performance tire that's nice and quite as a DD and has good tread life.

I'm on my 2nd set of Yokohamas, first set were the YK520 on oem 17s; I'm currently running Yokohamas AVID Envigor on aftermarket 18s; they're UHP all season and i love them.

You can't go wrong with Michelins.

They're pricey, but well worth it in terms of mileage and comfort/noise.
