ABS failed last night !?!?
I had to hit the brakes really hard last night and it was raining. The ABS kicked in, and all of a sudden failed and I slid. The ABS light stayed on!? What the heck happened. I drove for a bit and it never turned off. So I stopped and turned the engine off, restarted it after about 15 sec, and it was fine. I have no clue what happened, but should I worry about it? I tested it one more time and the abs worked fine.

exactly that..
a failure.. get it in for service.. I've slid down an icy street, ABS pump going the whole time.. no light. and it did lock up a time or two, but went back to pulsing after a sec. You can press hard enough to lock them up, even with ABS. but still, the light is odd.

I had my brakes fail once on me too as I was leaving a parking lot. I don't think it was ABS failure cuz I was only going like 5mph. I braked (broke?) and it my foot hit the floor and it felt like my brake pads were just sliping on the rotor and were'nt grabing. Was this an air bubble in my line or what?

The ABS would fail and the light would come on and it wouldn't go off until i turned the car on and off
