i will like to buy a good alarm system/remote starter. i live in nyc and sometimes when i go out and park im very paranoid that someone is gonna go shopping @ my store. im looking for a LOUD alarm andt that haves the digital remote where i can what doors are open. please help, thanks lou

what do u mean it doesnt remote start in gear? and which alarm you think is good? im looking @ viper 5704. let me know thanks

 

He installed it so if someone left the car in gear (cause it's a 6mt) when you attempt to remote start, it will fail. However, if it's in neutral, it will be start. I have the 5901, which is the older version of 5704. It's great.

 

The viper 5901 is a great choice. I personally have the Viper 5902 in my 2k2 max, and I love it. I installed it using hella horns, and a "lexus style" piezo, so instead of a loud chirp, i just get the subtle beep...just like you'd hear on a Lexus when you lock/unlock the doors with the stock remote.

My car is also wired to not start in gear. If it's in any position other than neutral...it'll refuse to start.

 

hmm....I need to find someone out here that will install a remote start in my 6mt maxima. Shops said they wont do it especially best buy....cowards!!
