Stuck axle....need suggestions
So I was trying to take out my driver side axle because I was going to send it back to Raxles to have it warrantied. Well I tried to pull out the axle and I was able to yank out the joint that is closest to the transmission (if this makes sense) but not the entire axle. I tried to use a big flat head to pry the axle housing off the transmission but to no avail. Now I PB blasted it and will let it sit overnight to hope that it might loosen it a bit. Any other suggestions guys?

It happens to the best of us man. There are 2 ways I use to get it out when it's stuck like this...
Jack the car up as high as possible. Use jackstands of course. Then with my 18" pry bar, wedge it between the axle and tranny from underneath. Then brace yourself as best as possible and KICK THE **** OUTA THAT ****!!!!! till it flies out of the transmission smacking you square in the chest.
Or...
Jack both sides up, then remove the passenger axle. If you look threw this hole, you can see the end of the axle on the other end. Then find the longest screwdriver you can, or anything that will make it to the other side. Then tap the end with a hammer and it will pop out. I usually use this method when the transmission is off the car already though.

Hey Lawrence. I thought you died or something. You never post anymore.
This. I have used both methods on stuck axles.
On the 4th gen the Haynes manual recommends you take out the passenger axle and smack the driver's side axel out.
good luck. Nothing like a 30m job that turns into a two day job.

If you end up having to take out the passenger axle, I would suggest using a solid bar (metal or wood) that's long enough to give you good leverage for a good-sized mallet hammer in your other hand.

I think it was that stupid C-clamp that goes into the transmission that was giving me problems.

Did you get it out? The driver side is always a PITA.
Crowbar is how i get my axles out these days if that doesnt work then i take out the passenger and get a metal pipe or a couple of rachet extensions and just tap the axle with the back of my rachet or a hammer, works like a charm.
