p0300 random misfire

i have a 2003 maxima se 6 speed. it has a random misfire and burns oil. i changed all 6 coils and plugs. i was thinking it could be the camshaft position sensor and/or the crankshaft position sensor? any advice or suggestions will be great. thanks.

Search. There are several threads about this already.

In any case, what other symptoms are you encountering? Sluggish acceleration? Pinging? Hesitation? Surging? Low Idle? High Idle? Jumping Idle? Running Rich? Lean?

It could be the crank position sensor, and/or the cam position sensors, but you will need to do quite a bit of testing and process of elimination to find out for sure.

im going thru the same thing same code and oil burner ... i did the same as you and did the plugs didn't do the coils but was going to do it next. I did get the camshaft sensor changed in hopes of clearing the code but it did not work.. ive searched and taking it to 2 mechanics and neither of them could fix the code... serious head scratcher... bump for some good answers on this problem...
