Color Combo Thread- Will be put into effect this time, not Hypothetical
Whats up guys, I know most of my threads are perty darn goofy. I won't lie, I come up with some weird **** to talk about...but anyway.
So, my buddy used to have a black 4th gen just like me, he was driving, was hit and the car was totalled. He fell into some bad ****, hadn't talked to him in a year and a half, and then I saw him again at a gas station last night. He has a 2001 Maxima and told me "What the hell did you do to your car! I've been trying to come up with ideas to make mine as head turning as possible"
We talked, and eventually we decided on plastidip.
Great solution- Non permanent, but if you don't start peeling it off- that stuff STICKS and will not come off. We were trying to think of what colors to do with his car, what would look nice and what would look ridiculous, but although this is going to get a lot of hate, and although I may feel foolish for posting this, I know it will be a fun, harmless, and non-permanent project that we can look back on and say "Yeah...I had a pink car with orange rims".
The colors you have to choose from are
-Lime Green
-Red
-Pink
-Blue
-Orange
-Black
-White
Be specific too- Ex: Blue Car, Pink Mirrors and Rims
Oh and although some people may just toss out random colors to make it as dumb as possible.....this does have potential.

I know, its a Maxima and not a BMW, but still, if its done right- it will be awesome.

Do it to a Chevy Impala that no one will miss or care about... Simplicity stands out a lot more than obnoxious color combining. The reason it's ridiculed so openly is because it honestly looks retarded.

+1 for being...different
Whether it becomes trendy or not does not mean it will ever be less ridiculous. Remember when air bags, body kits, and NOS! was "trendy"? Remember how stupid it was regardless? Same rule applies.
Let there be no doubt, I am very much hating on this. No matter how "cool" it ever becomes it will never end up on any of the cars I own. As they said in the hood, "That s*** is whack!" Good luck though.

May god help that poor Maxima! That is about the most horrendous abomination of a Maxima I can ever recall laying eyes on. Please leave that in photoshop and off the road, for the love of all that's holy in the world!

If we're talking about a car for a woman then this is a different discussion entirely, but if a MAN is considering doing this and driving this about, then he must be very.... comfortable with himself...

Until anyone has seen a plastidipped car in person they really can't talk. They actually come out looking pretty good and indeed headturning. Also completely reversible without damage to the paint. Myself and Dj Kevinn were actually planning to try it out. I have 7 gallons of blue plastidip in my basement..

I am at a complete loss of words for why you would want to do that to a $40,000 car. An older car with shot paint, I can somewhat understand.
When I was in NYC last year, I saw some very strange things that people do with cars there, so I guess it's safe to say it's as the saying goes... par for the course.

I've got nothing against plastidip. I wouldn't necessarily do it to my own car, but I can understand why someone would want to do it to theirs. I'm hating on the color choice/combination...

That color scheme is definitely head turning! And if that is your goal then its definitely the way to go.
Although its mostly a young people thing.
And I bet you can already tell that most people on here prefer the simple styling over something way out there.
