Need new tires, help with sizes?
I have a 02 se. I noticed my tires were 215's. Which is for the gle model.
1. Does this smaller size have a big effect on our cars handling and/or ride quality?
2. I can only buy two tires so I am going to put the rear tires(215) on the front because they have a lot of tread. So should I stick with 215's all arOund? Or put the 215's on the front, the new 225's on back and then when I need new front tires again, put on 225's all around?
I tried searching but I couldn't really find anything pertaining to my specific question

you have 4x 215-55-16 right now, yes? If you can only buy two, but want to go different size, then yes, take the 215s currently in the rear and throw them in front, put 2 25s on the back tires. Then when the 215s that were moved to the front go bad, get two more 225s for the rear, moving the older 225s to the front.
You should have been rotating all 4 tires in order to maintain proper treadlife...but if you want to buy in pairs, that's how you do it.
The BEST is to bite the bullet and buy all 4, 225s, and rotate every 6k for proper treadlife (free rotations at most tire places if you buy tires from them)

If the rims are 17 inches, then you have to buy 17 inch tires. All the advice stays the same.
Next time please tell us all the info as Nissan offers different options so not every car is identical.

Anyways. my most important question was/is does the 215 tires have a noticeable handling difference than the 225's?

Sorry but as DennisMik was eluding to you're way too vague. What is the full size of the tires you currently have? 215/ab/cd
Next how do you drive your car and what are you looking for in a tire? Cornering ability? Soft cushiony ride? Straight line performance?
Honestly IMO 215 to 225 isn't going to change much from a driver experience but visually the tires will look fuller on the car.

215 on a 17 rim? wow...I thought you were referring to the 5 spoke 16" rims that they threw on...not the 17s. That's really thin for the 17. But as said above, advice stays the same pretty much. I'd still go with all 4 of them 225-50-17.
