There aren't any for the 2K Maxima . . .

except, of course, the PROgram Piggyback ECU. If only it didn't cost so much!

Check out: http://www.racersgroup.com/program/theprogram.htm

$900 for a customed tuned ECU doesn't sound so bad, compared to the alternatives (none!! unless you count the Superchips ICON or something... which you need 3.... so that's crap... or an Electromotive TEC-II which is $1500)

You could be right, brian . . .

The prices I've seen quoted for The PROgram installed and dyno'd run between $1,200 and $1,400. Where can you get it done for $900.00?

Jeff (97SE 5-spd) here in the SF Bay Area had it done by TRG themselves up at Sears Point for $900. He was the very first guinea pig too.

Thanks . . .

I've got jpegs of his dyno runs. Very impressive. $900.00 is a good price too. I wonder if I could get it done for that in So. Cal.? Sure as hell beats $1,200.00 - $1,400.00.

HP?

How much HP are you guys planning on getting with this chip? I'm planning on getting one, but I'm still doing research. Thanks.

It's not a chip . . .

It's a piggyback ECU. Added 20 HP and 22 ft-lbs of torque at 5,000 rpm in 3rd gear.

I sent copies of the dyno runs to your e-mail address. Seeing is believing.

I should also mention . . .

That the performance increases noted in my previous post were at the wheels. If we assume that approximately 75% of flywheel hp hits the ground, the results using a PROgram Piggyback ECU would equate to a horsepower increase of 27 hp at the flywheel. That would bring an otherwise stock 2K Max engine into the 250 HP range.
