Engine dies after startup
Hi,
2003 GXE 3.5L 100k miles.
When the engine is warm and I start it up, it fires, runs for a few seconds then dies. Try it again, it does the same thing. If I give it some throttle before I start it, the motor runs just fine. Not a big problem but would like a cure.
Don't think the problem occurs when motor is cold (not sure)
Spark plugs were replace at 90k miles.

When I look in my Nissan pdf service manual, under "Engine Control System", it shows a diagram titled "View with fuel level gauge removed". In this diagram it shows the "Fuel pressure regulator".
I assume this unit is located in the fuel tank is that correct.

I had this happen a few days ago after a long drive(450+ miles). I started up the next day and after it warmed up it just died at a light, and kept dying unless i rev'd it a lil and it was fine. Tried the replicate the issue the next day and nothing happened, it ran smooth. My CEL is P0420(bank 1 precat) not sure if thats related to the car dying but I guess I should have my fuel pressure regulator checked as well.
