Jacob Electronics Ignitions for 5th Gen??

Has anyone used this ignition for a 5th gen. Are they good... Do they increase acceleration? Please let me know!

its been a real long time, but I remember some threads on this type of upgrade. try searching for either jacobs or hks. I know stillen sells the hks upgrade and some people had tried them with no significant gains. Honestly don't remember if the jacobs had been used or not.

anyway just try some searching and maybe ask some the 4th gen guys. If I remember correctly it was a bunch of them contributing to the discussion ...

thanks. it depends on what you are looking for in regards to money. for 18" and tires ... at least $1k. It could be as much as $4k depending on the wheels you want! I don't really like to discuss how much I paid for them, but I got a decent deal. Just do some searching on the wheels you would like to have. Tirerack is good place to start since you can see the wheel on the car and then get some magazines. you can find decent prices in some the auto mags too.

good luck!

I don't think there are any worthwhile ignition upgrades available for the 4th or 5th gen yet....

If you are na, there are no gains to be had. The Nissan Maxima features one of the best oem ignition systems available. The coil on plug technology is one of the best. Even with turbo/sc or nos, there is little need in upgrading the system as far as spark energy goes.
