I'd like to just share my experience with the B&M Transmission Cooler 70268 on my 2000 Nissan Maxima Automatic. In my opinion, it's a great investment for ANY Automatic Transmission vehicles. It's not too expensive, anyone with basic mechanical skills can do this, and it prolongs the life of the transmission. I was gonna do a write up on this but figured there's already one for 2002/2003 maxima which in theory is basically the same for the 2000/2001 maxima. Also, B&M included a picture diagram on how it's hooked up. The only thing you have to decide is where you want to mount the transmission cooler. I mounted mine in front of the AC condenser, on the passenger side.

Cost: $55-$80 on EBAY.
What you need: B&M Transmission Cooler 70268 or Hayden 404 Transmission Cooler, 2-4ft Additional Transmission Fluid Hose.
Install Time: 1-2 Hours
Install Difficulty: Easy. Basic tools. Your goal is to connect the Transmission Cooler in series with the radiator and transmission. So this is how it's hooked up. Radiator return line>Transmission Cooler one side>Transmission Cooler other side>Transmission return line. You don't touch the hose on the feed side at all.

Before Installation:
- My transmission will slip occasionally and at WOT to the next gear.

After Installation:
- My transmission slippage seems to be eliminated, if not completely.
- The upshifts and downshifts are smooth, clean and precise.
