Question about UpRev Cipher
I replaced my MAF and my throttle body on my 02 I35, and after doing all of the relearn procedures, I am getting a p0507 high idle code. The relearn takes as I am able to clear the code through the key/pedal steps. My idle is at 1100 so I have an appointment at the dealership on Tuesday to get the consult on it. My question is, can the Cipher do what the Consult can in terms of getting my idle back to normal? I know I'm looking at anywhere from $45-$100 at the dealership, and I would much rather put that towards the Cipher program if it can do what I need it to. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

No, it can't...
The idle relearn works, I have done it tons of times. The main thing you have to do after the idle relearn is to unhook the battery and let it set for a few hours. Not sure why this part was key but it works.
Or pay the money for Consult.

I know it works. I did it when I installed my spacers too. It works now, it just doesn't reset my idle. You're saying try unhooking the battery AFTER I do the relearn? Its worth a shot at this point.

You can advance timing, and other things with it based on their website description. You are also able to do data logging. I was just curious if it would help me out with my current predicament

So I ended up at the Infiniti dealer, and paid $120 to have the Idle Air relearn done through the Consult II. He also bumped my timing from -1 to +2. Man, I must say I love how responsive she is. Feels like a brand new car, and that was well worth the $120 and one hour drive.

For anyone else wondering, if you have a problem where the idle is high and wont stick even after a relearn, please unplug the front three fuel injectors and do the relearn again. After it completes, plug them back and in do the relearn once more.
That will correct the problem.
That will correct the problem.

I even tried the injector trick, with no luck. The tech said that youre supposed to let the car cool down before trying to let it get to operating temp because maximas/I35s are finicky. Either way, I'm glad to be at 17* instead of 14* haha.
