WHATS UP WH THIS SUNROOF?

It opens like it should. When I close it,it stops towrds the end and opens half way with the switch closed. I have to turn the ignition off and on and use the other switch to close it.

if you have an 02-03 Max you need to reset the switch, now that you have it fully closed ... (you may hear two clicks) anyway (Hold down the tilt down (close tilt) button for three + seconds and try it again.) and all should be back to normal.

If you have an 00-01 I believe you have to disconnect the battery (for an 1/2 to one hour) someone jump in and correct if I am wrong regarding the 00-01 model years

I fix my post above its not the auto open/close button you want to hold ... rather it is the tilt switch button you want to hold in the close possition for a couple of seconds

the reset procedure is in your owners manaul if you have one.

Yea, with those position selectable switches our cars have, they can get confused pretty easily if anything besides flawless operation happens. So the reset trick is a nice touch so that you can get it working again without major/stupid repairs. Lol. I've had to use it several times so far and I've only had my 02 for about 3-4 months.

You are correct..for the '00-01 you have to disconnect the battery. Just had to do this a few days ago for the first time on my 2000 I30, but only had to remove the neg on the battery for ~5 min.

I was able to reset my 00 sunroof using the button reset method and it worked. My sunroof wouldn't auto open or close, after I did the button reset procedure it was good to go.
