If you don't know what's good quality from bad quality you'll definitely get ripped off. There's three brands you can buy, German brand, Japanese brand and that cheap Chinese ish. When yoiu're looking for HID's you should do one of three things. Get the German or Japanese brand all the time with a spare set of bulbs, make sure you get a one year warranty, or buy that ish locally so that you don't defeat the purpose of buying online. Return shipping cost and the fact that you have to wait for a replacment just ain't worth buying online

MSU2000 has successfully retro'd projectors into the 00-01 fog light housings with an adjustable aiming screw. Search through his retrofit thread, pretty sure they are on there.

02-03 headlights w/ 4300k bulbs in combination with 3000k hid fogs gives the best light output IMO, especially during rainy nights, the yellow helps a lot.

Ouch... 10000k?? 6k is DEF already pushing it. The headlights look decent but I'm sure they have crappy output. Any shots of the cut off with your 10000000k bulbs?

Yes it would work, although I already bought them for an upcoming project of mine and he didn't take the ad down lol... Still have them in my garage although I wouldn't sell them, the only reason why he sold them is cuz I retro'd his Elantra with FX-R's... His lights are in my ad lol. Get something NEW and with a warranty, best option if you want to DIY would be Mini D2S and if you want a "project" then get the FX-R's but I warn you install isn't easy if you've never did it before.

There is a guy out in Aleaxandria selling parts off a totalled 03... he pretty much has everything except for the couple of things I bought off of him. He's a decent guy and willing to negotiate on some prices his ad is on Kijiji. take for example this-- I bought a used ABS pump AND module for 120--- dealer price--- almost 1100. I know he still has the headlights its pretty simple to convery the 00-01 headlights to 02-03 there are a couple threads for that. can't remember the ad ID off the top of my head...

Your silly if you're going to stick an HID kit on top, either get some GOOD halogen bulbs or leave it as is... I dont think you've EVER driven facing some arsehole with an HID kit... Because everytime I do i just want to plow into them head on... either that or I leave my highbeams on because thats pretty much what they're doing, and a highbeam from a projector is B-L-I-N-D-I-N-G.

I have an 01 and have wanted to upgrade to projectors. Do these projectors just directly bolt into the stock 5th gen headlight housing or is some cutting involved?

There's a lot of room in there so you shouldn't need to cut.

Just drilling, no cutting necessary

Mind you, it is a very time consuming project and it takes time to get the beams adjusted and aligned. You're up for a fun yet frustrating challenge.

Are the plastic fog light lens cover on the 01 housing the same as 02-03? It just looks so much cleaner in the pic than mine do. It almost looks like glass in the pic to me.

00-01 are plastic. 02-03 are glass. They are different shape so you can't swap it out. Compare 5th gen and 5.5 bumpers and you'll see the difference.

The OEM nissan fogs for the 02-03 ARE glass. Every other brand sells them with a plastic lens. If you want a projector in the 02-03 housings you have to make your own lens, which should be pretty easy. Grab a piece of lexan.

Well I donno then, my fog lens are plastic. Maybe the owner before me changed them.

I wonder if frosted lens like one's from Tap Plastics would look nice with some 3000k's. A bit of measuring and sealing would work I suppose.

02/03 front end, good call!

You'll need to do some wiring, and you'll need the lower headlight clips, grill, etc. Everything is differnet pretty much.
