Wheel Speed Sensor Part Number

I need to buy a wheel speed sensor for my I35 a part number 479112Y060.
Drivers side front wheel speed sensor.

I am most likely going to need to replace the spindle as the bolt that holds the speed sensor in place rusts in place and breaks off when you try to remove it.

I am going to the junkyard to buy a new spindle/wheel speed sensor and was wondering if the part number is located anywhere on the sensor its self so I can make sure I'm getting the right part?

I've replaced a bunch of ABS sensors and have never had the bolt break off into the spindle. It needs a little finesse but you should be able to get it out cleanly - douse with PB plaster and be easy/slow removing it. Sometimes tightening then loosening back and forth helps.

I'd try to get it out before going to buy a whole hub/sensor. Then just buy a new replacement sensor if you're successful.

It's just a nub now. I dont think it's coming out. I was thinking of drilling/tapping but as I thought about it more its pretty hard to drill/tap something into a hardened steel convex surface

Did you break the bolt already? Is something left to turn it by?

If you're talking about extracting sensor itself and you don't need to spare it then you can tap it out with a rod of suitable diameter. The sensor's case is made out of plastic so it should let go.

The bolt is already broken and the old wheel speed sensor is still glued in place by years of rust

Sensor is not that difficult to get out especially since you don't have to preserve it. Just destroy the sucker lol.

With regards to the bolt - I'd still try to extract it but thats just me. Whatever works for you. Sometimes paying is just easier to save the hassle.

Its more expensive to buy a new sensor, than to buy a new spindle with sensor from the junkyard

Well then, makes perfect sense.

Plus you can probably flip the spindle here to recover some funds.

I could but then the next person would just have to deal with drilling/tapping for the wheel speed sensor, so I doubt anyone would want it.

You can get these parts cheap at any junkyard. I am buying stock stuts/springs form the local junkyard for $100 and they had 8 5th gen maximas to chose from. The Spindle is like $50 and they'll pull it for me.
