Is this typical?

I bought my '02 GLE in Oct of 2010. It had 66K on it and now has 88K or so. Thus far I have had to do the following repairs: I count the brakes as a repair b/c the calipers seized:

2002 Maxima GLE Repairs (maintenance not included) Repaired by:

1. Blower motor and cabin filter replaced. Me
2. Gasket on coolant inlet pipe replaced. Mechanic
3. All rotors & pads replaced Me
4. Rear calipers replaced Me
6. Radiator replaced Me
7. Rear Axle Beam & Bushings Replaced Me

It It IS a ten year old car but I also have a ten year old Camry and have done the following: Routine Maintenance. In all fairness it is in need of new front wheel bearings, but that's it so far.... Just my personal experience. I have no idea how well (if at all) the previous owners maintained the Max so that could be part of the problem.

Oh, I also want to point out that the ORG was a huge help in all the repairs I did on my own, you're a great resource here!

Well, you bought a 10 year old used car from the rust belt. Maintenance by the previous owner(s) will determine what you will need to do to it. Rear caliper replacement isn't uncommon because of road salts that get kicked up while driving.

So is it typical? In your environment I would say so.
