Adding Extra Holes to rear License plate

I was wondering if anyone has tried drilling extra holes to their rear license plate holder. I hate the rattling it does when I close the trunk or turn up the music. I already put RaaMmat down in the entire trunk and even add a little to the back of the license plate, as well as tighten the two Bolts that hold the plate.

I just put some clear caulk behind the lower part of the plate and no rattles! Doing it for years.

That sounds easy enough of a solution. Thank you very much

Along those lines, take a short strip (just a bit shorter than the length of the plate) and stick it to the car (or plate) at the bottom.
