Windshield wiper blades restoring kit

Hey guys, has anyone on here ever tried or heard any positive from using these kinds of windshield wiper blades restoring kits?

I've been changing mine once a year, and at $40~$50 a set, I feel like everytime I have to buy new ones... But if this thing works, then I can keep trimming the blades and only buy new ones every other year...

Seems like a band aid, but I've never tried this so don't take my word for it.

My blades' worst enemy is the sun around here. They just fall apart. Still, I don't pay that much for replacements,

Trying to figure out how it works - quick search yielded no results. It says 5 cloths are included. Does it refinish the blade (sandpaper? razor?) or is it just a handle shaped to hold a cloth against the wiper blade..can't tell for sure.

$40 to $50 a set? Aftermarket Autozone Duralasts will work just fine. Less than $25 for the pair, even the newer aeroddynamic models which work great for rainy days and highway travelling.

Shop a touch more conservatively.

I started trying different brands of wipers and stopped at michelin stealth because they actually are still working unlike my previous bosch that worked great and then the performance degraded a lot. I got them at walmart for $13 a piece unlike all the other aerodynamic wipers that average $20 a piece.

Treat your windshield with rainX (the original one) once in a while. Any rain water or droplet is rolling off the windshield (at 45+ mph) without your need to use wiper. My wiper lasts more than 2-3 years.

Better to buy less expensive wiper blades and replace them annually. Most blades are worn from sun exposure versus actual use as the UV rays are a killer on rubber.

Said it before, and I'll say it again... Valeo Ultimates from Tire Rack. Going on 5 years now, including winter use. Treat my windshield and all windows with Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax after washes, and everything just works. It's just Ultimate.
