GAB or JWT POP CHARGER

Well I know this is an old topic on the forums but it has also been a few years since I've heard anyone talk about this. I was looking to upgrade the intake for possible gains and a better sound if any? I was searching and couldn't find any thing about gains or dyno's. It would be good to hear some experiences and advise.

I currently have a GAB. If anyone has the JWT pop charger installed or had it installed please let me know if its a waste of money or if its not a bad little investment.

Cheers,

I personally really like the JWT Popcharger. I've had it since 2008 and would definitely recommend it, perhaps also with a homemade heat-shield. But that's just my $0.02

Be cheap and do the GAB. Proven to work...

...have had my intake for 6 years and still consider going to a GAB all the time.

I have the GAB. It's nice, free and sounds great at 2500 rpm's and up. I get lots of looks just driving down the street. With that being said, there is a bit of low end power loss but it's more eager to redline higher on the scale.

Glad to help,

RC

get 3'' piping, make holes and install fittings (plumbing stuff works great) yourself with JB weld. buy a 3" maf adapter, some 3" couplers and K&N cone from ebay or cheap auto store. $50 home made short ram

Ahhh so many good ideas.

Well I donno, think I might just try the Pop Charger then, after reading a bit it seems that the people that do own it are usually happy with it. If anyone come across a dyno sheet or something please post. Curious to see results.

You can get the R2C Filter from Brian at Cattman, I called to ask about the pop charger they sell. Apparently the Intake "Pop Charger's" sold by JWT comes with a K&N Filter and the Pop Charger from Cattman will have the R2C Filter. Here's a link if you want to call. http://www.cattman.com/

I've heard some pretty good reviews from the R2C but haven't experienced one yet.

Yes I dealt with Cattman a few times, got his Headers, Exhaust, and Fastcat, but wanted to know if somebody else might be cheaper got my JWT Popcharger for 107 bucks while they sell it for 140 or 160, I spent Big Dollars on his things so looking to scout for the best deal but for the filter I guess it may be him....

Do anybody know the part number for that Filter?

Not sure a part number, that filter is gonna cost around $65 or more. Maybe call R2C and possibly find out what filter size you need. http://www.r2cperformance.com/
