Did Canadian GLEs come with different wheels? Those look like GXE wheels, but it looks like it has leather? Guessing it’s for the winter?

Who knows, the car is 13 years old, anything could've happended to it by now, lol.

And Greenmaximaman, you're unwise to 'not care' about your plate. Do some research.

You have to cut them apart. Not recommended. I've been there. Paint it still assembled. Or do overlays like you already have

lol at the 'altezza bashing' comments.

Red on the signal portion instead of amber/clear doesn't make them any more or any less 'altezza' style. They've always been like that right from the factory.

didn't take them apart... just removed the bulb and sprayed the can through the opening. It's a PITA - do small sprays in different directions a bunch of times so you don't get runs. I think I waited about 5 mins b/t each spray - on a warm day outside.

Members "transparent candy apple red" mode from Testors paint spray to signal socket, it gives a very clean red, amber signal.

Why try when you can just buy them like that? They're just '00-'01 SE tails.

If I'm not mistaken these tails (which I use to have) are one piece. The only way to get them apart is cut them open. Then you have to get them back. They don't just bake open like others

Thats a great price. x2 why would you ever waste your time when you can spend less than $200 and get brand new 5th gen SE style tails. Or get some used ones from a wrecker, classified, etc. (this is the route I'd go, aftermarket blacked-out part will probably fade in the sun over time)

You will never match that design though, to answer your direct question. You'd only be able to black the outer section out to 'mimik' the overall look.

The quality of aftermarkets actually isn't too bad. I got these TYC's (http://www.andysautosport.com/nissan...il_lights/tyc/) from a local shop that had them in stock. Fitment is fine and there's no sign of fading after almost a year of use. They're definitely a good option if MaxinO2 can't find a good used OEM set.
